Monica Mattiussi, MS, LPC

Seeing New Clients Soon: December 8th, 2025

Monica believes deeply in the inherent dignity and worth of every individual and strives to honor this in her work. She loves being a therapist and considers anyone who walks into her (or any therapist’s) office to be courageous. A lifelong learner, Monica believes wholeheartedly in the possibility of healing and in the resilient nature of the human heart. She leans into each client’s strengths to help them move toward their goals with confidence and clarity.

In her therapeutic work, Monica draws from EMDR, inner child and parts work, attachment theory, and other trauma-informed approaches. She works with children and adolescents ages 8+, as well as teens, college-aged individuals, and adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, family-of-origin issues, and other challenges. Monica has a particular passion for helping clients heal from single-incident and complex trauma, including relational and childhood trauma. She is also committed to supporting survivors of all forms of abuse, including church- and clergy-related harm.

Monica enjoys working with clients from diverse backgrounds and belief systems. For those who desire it, she integrates personal values and spiritual or faith beliefs into the therapeutic process. She also supports individuals who have been hurt by their faith communities or who are navigating spiritual questions and concerns. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or pursuing long-term personal growth, Monica walks alongside clients with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for their unique stories.

Monica completed her Master’s in Counseling at Divine Mercy University in 2023. She completed EMDR training through EMDR Consulting in winter 2025 and has also completed the Renewing Your Mind and Listening workshops with Equipping Ministries International (EMI). Outside the counseling office, Monica enjoys attending shows and musicals, taking walks in Cincinnati’s beautiful parks, baking delicious gluten-free desserts, reading, journaling, spending time with loved ones, and listening to her favorite band, Sleeping at Last.
