Flo DeWitt, MDiv, MA, LPCC-S

Flo’s work with couples and families is grounded in attachment theory, which emphasizes that humans are wired for connection. Flo works with couples and families through the lens of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a compassionate, research-based approach to healing relationships. She believes that behind every conflict is a longing for closeness, safety and understanding.

In her work, Flo helps partners and family members slow down reactive patterns, uncover deeper emotions and needs driving disconnection, and discover new ways of reaching for one another with care. She creates a safe and supportive space where each person feels heard and valued, making it possible to rebuild trust, strengthen bonds, and experience more ease and joy in relationships.

Flo is passionate about walking alongside couples and families as they transform painful patterns into opportunities for connection, helping them feel more secure, understood, and supported in their most important relationships.

Flo’s education includes a M.Div. from Yale University and a MA in Counseling from the Athenaeum of Ohio. In addition, she has had Advanced Psychotherapy training at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute and advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. She is a Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapist and SIP Trainer, certified through ACPE, The Standard for Clinical and Pastoral Education. Flo is a co-founder of Trinitas Counseling, LLC.
