Move beyond repeated arguments and get to the heart of lasting connection.
Does Your Relationship Feel Stuck in a Loop?
When you and your partner fight, it rarely feels like it’s just about the dishes, the schedule, or the finances. More often, it’s about a deeper question that sits beneath the surface:
"Are you there for me? Do I still matter to you?"
When we feel disconnected from the person we love most, our brains react as if we are in danger. One partner might reach out, criticize, or pursue to get a response, while the other pulls away, shuts down, or quiet steps back to keep the peace.
Before long, you aren't fighting each other—you are caught in a reactive cycle where neither of you feels seen, heard, understood, or safe.

Grounded in Adult Attachment Theory
Developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—specifically Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT)—views human connection as a primary emotional need. Rather than teaching surface-level communication scripts or rules for fighting, EFT addresses the emotional heartbeat of your relationship to help you restore genuine safety and intimacy.
Backed by Research
Clinical studies consistently show that 70–75% of couples move from relationship distress to full recovery, with roughly 90% showing significant, lasting improvements in overall relationship satisfaction.

When a partner feels an underlying threat to emotional connection, their nervous system initiates a self-protective reaction. This typically manifests as a recurring loop known as the Pursue-Withdraw Cycle:
The Pursuer (Reaching / Criticizing): Driven by fear of disconnection or abandonment, this partner may protest, raise issues, or push for a response to regain closeness.
The Withdrawer (Sensing Overwhelm / Shutting Down): Driven by fear of failure or conflict escalating, this partner may quiet down, retreat, or logically defend themselves to protect the relationship from further damage.
In EFT, the cycle itself is framed as the common enemy—never either individual partner.

01. De-escalating the Reactive Cycle: Mapping the Loop
We help you step back and see the specific pattern you get caught in. Instead of viewing your partner as the problem, you learn to see the cycle as the common enemy you can solve together.
02. Restructuring the Bond: Sharing Soft Emotions
We guide each partner to slow down and access softer, deeper emotions (like fear, loneliness, or vulnerability). You learn how to ask for closeness and reassurance in ways your partner can truly hear and respond to.
03. Consolidation & Growth: Building Lasting Safety
With secure emotional safety restored, we use your new foundation to address old wounds, navigate practical decisions, and create meaningful, shared rituals for your future.
